Google’s Froyo is the “best tech product” of 2010

October 28, 2010
Froyo

Froyo is the best, it's official!

Great news for frozen yoghurt fans. Google’s Android operating system under the same name has been declared the best tech product of 2010 by PCWorld.com.

The little hand-held operating system beat off not only other mobile OS’ but also full tech products such as the Apple iPad, Apple TV, Amazon Kindle and more. It also beat the likes of Facebook, TomTom and Microsoft Office. So, there we have it, all you need is an Android phone 😉

(It’s good to see that Grooveshark gets a mention coming in at number 85)

HTC Desire up for “Phone of the Year” and “Gadget of the Year” on T3.com

June 5, 2010

The UK magazine T3 have got the HTC Desire up for “Phone of the Year” and “Gadget of the Year” on their website.

Be sure to vote for your favourite phone and gadget (because you also get entered for a chance to win…er.. an iPad..). Actually I had a play with a friend’s iPad a couple of days back and they are very nice machines although I couldn’t ever see myself buying one now I have a Desire 😉

So for those of you who don’t want to see Apple win yet another award for gadget and phone of the year, make sure you cast your votes!

Another chance to win an HTC Desire

April 13, 2010

If like me you didn’t manage to get a free HTC Desire through the official HTC Desire website competition then fear not – T3.com have just launched a competition for a chance to win one.

All you have to do is answer a simple question and fill in your details. If you don’t know the answer to the question then you probably don’t deserve a Desire… 😉

If you are lucky enough to already own a Desire then why not win one for your grandmother?

HTC Desire competition winners announced 2nd April

April 1, 2010

If you were genius enough to register you interest on the official HTC Desire countdown timer website then you were entered into a draw to win 1 of 10 HTC Desire mobile phones (you did put in a real e-mail address right?).

Well, HTC will be announcing the 10 lucky winners sometime on 2nd April so be sure to keep hitting that Send/Receive button and checking that Junk/Spam box too just in case you’re the chosen one.

Myself? Well from midnight tonight, I shall be pressing Send/Receive every few seconds until midnight on the 2nd. If I’m not one of the lucky winners (like this guy was in a different competition) then I will quite possibly start some sort or rampage in my local town (but more likely: probably just go about my normal daily duties).

Last chance to win 1 of 10 HTC Desire mobile phones!

March 30, 2010

I previously posted a link to the official countdown site to the launch of the HTC Desire. The site has seen a few updates since it last went live a few weeks back and it seems that everyone who pre-registers their interest will be entered into a free prize draw.

Desire Comp

Last chance to win a free HTC Desire

10 lucky people will find themselves the owner of a completely free HTC Desire so it’s definitely worth doing. You’ve got just over 24 hours to pre-register so make sure you do!

T-Mobile UK giving away an HTC Desire

March 19, 2010

If you’re a T-Mobile customer, reside in the UK, are on the T-Mobile forums and have an e-mail address then you can enter yourself into the T-Mobile draw to win a free HTC Desire when the phone is released next Friday (26th March)

That’s all you have to do. If you’re not a T-Mobile customer then it’s just tough I’m afraid.
